Is this why we have all the grass cutters out this week doing so much.Have you seen the "extra care" being taken this week? If it can be done to get things looking better by the royal visit why cant it always be done this way? How about some weed killer before the visit? We mainly have weeds and no grass left. Are we also going to find money for a spot of painting here and there? Ive heard it said that the queen thinks the world smells of fresh paint. Lets have more visits and just maybe we can have things looking better for those who live here.
THE Earl of Wessex will pay a visit
Had a visit from him when I was on a ship (yeah, I'm ex RFA). He's only a little bloke and we had to build a podium for him to stand on so he wouldn't look too short when he made his speech. We knocked 2 or 3 pallets together and covered it with some bunting. Looked pretty good, but we forgot to secure one of the planks correctly and as he rocked about talking it sprung up and nearly took his shin off. Afterwards, no matter how much we protested our innocence, no one would believe that it was an accident that we forgot a couple of nails.
Strange itinerary though!
All in Rays patch then lunch in the Labworth. Ray up for a gong d'ya think?

Oh yes I thought that.
Im sure everyone will be in the grounds of the dutch cottage. Will Edward be given a meal while in the Labworth?
Im glad the man who used bad language on this site seems to have been removed.

Big deal!!
I would rather have a bigger deal worth looking at and a self made millionaire:
'Jordan'
If not let the other local celebrity Ray Howard (King Canute)do us the honour of taking 'Eddy' for a drink !!!
