Man trapped upside down on railings
FIRE crews were called to free a man who got trapped on some railings and hung upside down for three hours.
The man, who is thought to have been in his 20s, was taking a shortcut home when he decided to climb over some railings in Cheapside East, Rayleigh.
But he got stuck when his jeans caught on the railings, leaving him hanging upside down by his ankles.
Firefighters from Rayleigh and Leigh, were called out at 6.30am today (Saturday) to help free the man, who told firefighters he had been there for about three hours.
He was left in the care of paramedics.

I was with one of emergency services that attended, the guy was obviously drunk, whilst he was upside down his bottle of beer remained upright. To be honest he was [bold]left out to dry[/bold] !

I was there. It started with owner of fence, then neighbour, then ambulance, police car & finally 2 fire engines. The guy was stuck between two 6 high foot fences only a foot apart with a thorn bush below, suspended by his ankles upside down. Believe me it was funnier in the flesh!!
The guy was genuinely trying to get home, was very grateful, appreciative & red faced!!
