Vandals attack on bandstand
VANDALS broke into the construction area around the bandstand on Canvey and caused more than £3,000 damage.
The bandstand in Eastern Esplanade, opposite the Monaco pub, has been boarded off from the public, but some of the barriers were removed allowing the yobs to get into the building area.
The site was trashed, safety fencing was thrown into the sea and lights were smashed.
The amount of damage is estimated between £2,000 and £3,000.
Sgt Paul Saunders, of Castle Point police said: "Crimes like this cause community outrage."
