Vicious teenage muggers rob man

A MAN was mugged by a gang of three teenagers after they cornered him and rifled through his pockets.

The 44-year-old victim was walking along Stanley Road, Southend, when three teenagers grabbed his right arm.

They demanded his mobile phone, which he did not have on him, before searching through his pockets and taking £10 cash.

They also grabbed the victim's left arm and yanked his gold Gucci watch with a blue face from his wrist, causing bruising.

A total of £610 worth was stolen during the incident, which lasted a few minutes.

The three boys were all aged between 17 and 19, wearing hooded tops, one of which was a Lonsdale black top with a white logo.

Laura Anderson, spokeswoman for Essex Police, said: "This is obviously quite a nasty attack and we are keen to get more information on the incident.

"We ask any members of the public who were in the Stanley Road area to contact us if they saw anything suspicious."

If you recognise the descriptions or saw anything suspicious, at 1.45pm on Tuesday, call Southend CID on 0300 3334444, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Hang on, surely the police have the entire attack on CCTV? Nothing more needs doing, crime solved.

No? Funny that.

Change the law so that beating the living sh*t out of a hoodie and tying them naked to a lamppost with a sign round their neck saying 'scum' is no longer a crime.

The IRA were guilty of some terrible things, but in their areas of Ireland there were no hoodie wearing drug dealing or mugging scum because after a well deserved beating with baseball bats they would get tarred and feathered and left on the street naked but for ta sign round their necks.

I understand the frustration only too well, but consider what happens when the vigilantes get the wrong teenager and knock seven shades of brown stuff out of him.

Still a good idea?

I undestand Frank of Westcliff's comments but I think he may change his mind when he or a member of his family are the victim.

Andrew of Shoebury seems to have a good idea which I endorse.

These scum are nothing but cowards on their own and big brave boy's in groups or packs.

Wouldn't it be a nice change if one of these groups picked on
an SAS member or marine, used to unarmed combat, and ended up in hospital with broken limbs themselves instead of the usual poor innocent victim - frail old lady, young girl, etc,,,,
